For almost everyone, 6S is the right buy. It is seriously fast, tough, cheaper to run, and supported across nearly every ARRMA platform. Step up to 8S only if you specifically want the biggest, most extreme rig and you have the space, budget and experience to feed it.

Where 6S wins
Cost. A 6S truck is cheaper to buy, and every crash costs less to fix. The batteries are cheaper and easier to store. The platform choice is huge - Kraton, Typhon, Notorious, Mojave and more all live here. You can run it in a normal backyard or park without needing a runway.
Where 8S wins
Raw drama. The Kraton 8S and Outcast 8S are 1/5-scale monsters that jump higher, hit harder and command attention. If your goal is the single most extreme ARRMA and you already know how to drive one, 8S delivers. Just budget for it - two 4S packs, bigger tyres, pricier parts, and you need real open space to open it up.
Who should buy which
Buy 6S if: it is your first big truck, you bash in a yard or local park, or you want the best all-round value.
Buy 8S if: you already own a basher, you have open space, and you want the biggest, most powerful rig ARRMA makes.
